FAQs
Can you coach “Me” if you are not like me?
Coaching is about me listening to you and asking questions that are designed to grow your awareness.
My niche? Transitions.
Which can be defined quite broadly.
In my career as a professional magazine photographer, I connected with people from all kinds of backgrounds, careers and interests. I was always curious about the people I was portraying, be they a company CEO, a factory floor worker, a nurse, or a medical patient.
This curiosity, appreciatively expressed, engendered trust with my subjects. The results were pictures of people showing up authentically. Ironically, I did not know this, at least at the start. It was the people who knew my subjects who testified that “that picture captures who he/she really is!” (All the portraits on this site are made by me.)
Toward the end of my photo career (and the beginning of my own career transition!) I realized I was more interested in the people than the pictures. Now, as an ICF certified Professional coach, I add coaching skills to my curiosity and appreciation.

Why over the phone and not in person or video chat?
When we see each other, whether in person or on video, some amount of our consciousness is allocated to both reading the face of the person speaking and to projecting our facial response. I’ve found that over the phone, there is a greater openness to deep exploration. My desire as a coach is for you to really understand who you are, what’s important to you and where you want to go with that awareness.
